2011 Band Clinician: Dr. Dan Turner

The Colorado Association of Christian Schools is pleased to announce our guest band clinician for fall, 2011: Dr. Dan Turner.  The fall music festival is Friday, November 18th at Beth Eden Baptist School in Wheat Ridge.
Dr. Turner teaches Euphonium and Tuba on the faculty at Bob Jones University. He is Director of Instrumental Activities and Director of Bands at Bob Jones University.  He studied at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Dan and his wife Jamie have been married 40 years and have one son, Jess Turner, who is a doctoral student in music composition at Indiana University.  And son Jess and his wife have one little girl--a just-turned-two beauty!
Dr. Turner is in his 40th year of band directing and has taught on all levels--elementary band, middle school and high school band, and university band and wind ensemble.
He and Jamie reside in Greenville, South Carolina.
